AC Milan are continuing to look into options that could reinforce the midfield department and Khéphren Thuram is one of the names that is attracting their interest, a report claims.

According to the latest from Francesco Letizia in his column for Sporitalia, Geoffrey Moncada has set his sights on Thuram and has been made aware that he could leave OGC Nice in a cut-price deal this summer.

Regardless of who will be the next head coach, the journalist states that Milan are looking for a new defensive midfielder because the feeling is that neither Franck Kessie nor Sandro Tonali have been replaced since they left in 2022 and 2023 respectively.

The Thuram ‘opportunity’ should be highlighted, Letizia claims. Marcus’ brother is leaving Nice and he will not cost any more than €20m, at least according to sources in France.

The technical director Geoffrey Moncada likes him and believes that Khephren has ‘everything to represent the missing piece’ in a department in which there might be more than one change.

The 23-year-old was actually born in Reggio Emilia given his father Lilian was still based in Italy at the time, and he joined Nice from Monaco in 2019. He has made 28 appearances this season, with three goals and three assists.
